Filling in the gaps

Circa 2023

Thanksgiving break took us on a long journey through rain, hail, snow, sand, and mud as we trekked from Moab to Kanab, stopping along the highway for hidden gems on unmarked roads and traversing unpaved roads for miles giddy with hope that the coordinates saved on our GPS would land us somewhere worthwhile. You be the judge…

Antelope, Bryce, Grand Canyon oh my!

Could not have asked for more perfect weather this October season out west. Highlights include watching tourists boat around Horseshoe Bend, making room for pack mules along the South Kaibab Trail, and roughing it in the Pink Jeeps of Sedona.

Back to my favorite, Zion

Just in time for New Year’s, we took our chances on both Angel’s Landing and The Narrows before visiting Seven Magic Mountains and The Valley of Fire.

First time for everything

Circa 2019

This was the trip where I discovered my love for hiking. Since the moment we left Zion, I thought about the next time I would have the chance to sleep in a log cabin, visit the Native American Reservation, and eat lots and lots of pie.
